I was going through profiles on OK Cupid and found Jarod's profile and saw he likes KU basketball and so do I. I sent him a message and he wrote back. We talked back and forth when I was on breaks till I got off work at 4:30. It was my first day of training in a new position at work and called my mom to tell her how it went and she told me my grandpa wasn't doing well. I decided to go over to see him with my sister. I messaged Jarod and told him what was going on and said I wouldn't be able to talk for a couple of hours and asked if I could message him when I get home and he said I could. I spent a few hours at my grandparents' house and my grandpa died that night. When I got home we spent 2 hours on the phone talking and we talked all the next day and decided to meet the next day at Cheddars. We talked all the way up to meeting at Cheddars and had dinner and have been together ever since.

On June 22, 2016 Jarod called and said I need to get ready and look nice. I asked where we were going and he would't tell me. Jarod came home and got ready too. We left and went to Olive Garden. Jarod then told me he invited his parents, my parents, and my sister and her boyfriend. They all showed up. We had a nice dinner and Jarod said we have somewhere else to go. We walked out to our cars. Jarod blindfolded me because he didn't want me to see where we were going. We drove a little ways and I wasn't for sure where we were going. We finally stopped and he came over and helped me out of the car. Jarod kept me blindfolded so I had to trust him I wouldn't fall. We walked a little ways and I started to hear water. Jarod finally took the blindold off and I looked around and at first didn't know where we were at. Every one had followed us there. Jarod got down on one knee and said I love you and I know you love me and then said will you marry me? I said yes. We then went over to my grandma's house to tell her. It was the best night of my life.
