Summer Coker & Scott Taylor
Location: Kansas City Public Library
Summer and Scott met March 10, 2004 at Campus Crusade for Christ in college. Scott was finishing his Psychology degree and leading worship for "Cru." Summer was starting nursing school. After Summer tried to give Scott away to her best friend and Scott told Summer he didn't like her in "that way" they began dating a month later. They'd love to say it was all easy from there, but the blending of two lives is never that easy. Easy didn't come for months, but once it did, it changed everything. Best friends formed and sacrifice was no longer difficult. God's will was the object and blessing flowed. Committment became lifelong and love the gift. That is what brings them to this day.
The wedding will be held at the Kansas City Public Library in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. We chose this building, built in 1906, for its formal elegance and architecture. The main hall, where the ceremony will take place, is adorned with marble floors, white columns, chandeliers, and intricate ceiling detail. The ceremony will begin at 7pm and formal attire is optional.
The address for the Kansas City Public Library is:
14 W. 10th St.
Kansas City, MO 64105
The Reception will immediately follow the ceremony on the fifth floor of the library. There will be a catered dinner provided with dancing to follow on the adjacent terrace overlooking downtown Kansas City.
We will be taking our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We are very excited about the many activites this area has to offer. We will be able to visit the ancient Mayan ruins as well as Cozumel. We hope to go snorkeling, deep sea fishing, sailing on a dinner cruise, visit a natural water park and much more.
We are so blessed to have such supportive friends and family. We are excited to see you at our wedding. Each of you has played an important part in enriching our lives in one way or another and for that we are truly grateful. This day would not be the same without the presence of so many people whom we care so deeply about. We pray that your support for our marriage in years to come remains as it has been in our relationship until now. To our friends through Campus Crusade, Riverside Church and The Church of God 7th Day, we thank you for your encouragement in our spiritual growth. To our families and everyone else, we hope God blesses you in the way you have blessed us.
